Room 4 year 3 students will be joining rooms 1, 10, 15 and 21. 

All year 3, 4, 5 and 6 students will be attending the John Walker Find Your Field of Dreams Community Swim programme at the Moana-Nui-a-Kiwa pools once a week starting

Tuesday 13th & Monday 19^th October.

Students are transported to and from the pools by bus.

The programme provides students with lessons to improve their swimming and water safety skills consisting of seven 30-minute sessions that are designed specifically for all levels of ability, and will be taken by certified swim instructors in the indoor pools.  It is a requirement of the NZ Curriculum for all children to learn swimming techniques and water confidence, and lessons are essential to building children’s aquatic skills and awareness of safe practices in, on and around water.

All students are expected to participate in the swimming lessons unless they provide a doctor’s note or letter from a parent. 

STUDENTS WILL NEED:

•       Swim suit or swim shorts (no t-shirts or street clothes)
•     Towel
•     Carry Bag
•     Goggles (optional)
